Mombasa Go-Kart: Race to the Podium
On a long day out with the kids and friends, for the ultimate wind-up, there’s no better place in Mombasa to indulge your need for speed than at Mombasa Go-Kart. No racing license is required to enjoy the track, with a mixture of long, fast and looping corners, you simply arrive and drive. Avid speed-heads and mini-racers can both enjoy indulging their inner Lewis Hamilton and go full throttle, up to 66 kph, on a range of karts around a secure circuit. The kids can test out the course at their own speed, but as they begin to pick up confidence they can try to beat the clock. Kids as young as five can drive here, and there is a special training on karting that is a great way to introduce your little one to the track. The popular sale, for Kes 2,300, is the Fun-race Program: briefing on Karts and safety gear, 5 warm-up laps to get used to the track and karts, 5 qualifying laps for race polls, then 10 race laps Race: Winners presentation on the podium and a certificate for the best three. It’s open every other day except Monday (open on bank holiday) from 2 pm to 10 pm. It is situated off the B8 Road, 1 km beyond Whitesands Hotel.
