Wetlands in Busia County Yala Swamp: A Rare Biodiversity Yala Swamp, also known as Yala Wetland, is a striking freshwater swamp located in western Kenya, near Lake Victoria. It is a vast papyrus area broken by irregular water channels, periodic small lakes and bijou grassy islands.
