The Wonky House: A Romantic Hidey-Hole

Drawing attention for its minimalism, tiny house ideology and country charm, the Wonky House is located 9 km from Timau center off A2 Nairobi-Nanyuki-Moyale Road. It sits in a secure and serene farming village with stunning sweeps of Mount Kenya. Unapparent at first glance but obvious on keen probe is its unconventional and whimsical design, featuring a slightly slanted floor, uneven porch, and a crafty wonky appearance that gives it a playful, almost surreal look in its bucolic setting.

Now a popular weekend getaway, it consists of 1 cozy bedroom, a living room, a fully equipped kitchenette with a microwave and a kettle, and 1 bathroom with a shower and a hair dryer. Guests, preferred by couples as a romantic getaway, can take in the views of the mountain from the patio, which also has outdoor furniture. A walk in the farm in a must! Amenities include; linen, towels and housekeeping service. In good weather, guests can take advantage of the outdoor barbecue pit.
