Although this little wonderland floating on Mtwapa Creek is located just over the boundary in Kilifi County, it is associated more with Mombasa County because of its proximity to the city and Island. It is only 16 km from Mombasa, reached via the B8 Mombasa-Malindi Road – taking a turnoff (left) just after the Mtwapa Bridge. A word of caution: The access road to the Moorings is not signposted and visitors need to be on the lookout for a bright storey building named Penthouse.
