It is a scenically-splendid plunge falls, with a 40 ms vertical drop steering away from the rock surface. Karurina Falls drops in a single, powerful drop, creating a dramatic effect. Thanks to its powerful plunge, the falls has also created a deep pool at the base. And yes, you guessed it! The pool is a popular swimming or recreation spots for the locals.
