Diani Beach: Kenya’s Leading Beach Destination

Visitors to the South Coast of Kenya will now find it easier to access the area by way of the Dongo-Kundu carriageway that bypasses Likoni Ferry and Mombasa City. It loops around the western area of Mombasa International Airport and ends up in Kwale County, crossing Mteza and Mwache Creeks, to rejoin the A14 trunk Mombasa-Lunga Lunga Road 12 km south of Mombasa City. 7 km beyond Tiwi, you reach the lively town of Ukunda. Then, taking a left turnoff near Ukunda Police Station onto Ukunda-Diani Link Road, for 2 km, passing Ukunda Airport, you reach the junction of Diani Beach Road. Lo and behold, along this 22 km road is Kenya’s and Africa’s Leading Beach Destination 2014-2020, rated by World Travel Awards.
