A rewarding safari is not about fitting the greatest number of parks into the fewest days. Season, road conditions, park hours, lodge location, daily driving time and the age and energy of every traveller all shape the experience. We begin with these practical realities, then decide where to go, where to stay and how long to remain.
We do not promise a river crossing or a checklist of famous species. Wildlife is genuinely wild and nature does not follow a fixed script. What we can do is choose the right season and area, protect enough observation time and work with experienced local driver-guides.
Local Perspective, Cross-Cultural Experience
Africa Wild Wander is led by Du Fengyan, who has lived and worked in Nairobi for more than a decade. His background spans information technology, documentary production, photography and coordination between Chinese and African organisations. From 2011 to 2013, he cycled through 22 countries across Asia and Africa, covering approximately 35,000 kilometres. That long-form field experience continues to shape the way we approach place, community, history and logistics.
