英文原文
At the far end of the vast, blackened expanse of the Shetani Lava Flow rises the isolated Chaimu Crater at hand with low-lying cojoined hillocks aptly named the Five Sister’s Hills. Here, more than anywhere else in Tsavo West National Park, the fascinating and vivid evidence of recent volcanic activity appears in almost every direction, and particularly in this northern area where most of its touring activities are developed. Formed by volcanic activity in recent geological history, dated to as recent as 1865, but likely within the last few hundred years, the young volcanic cinder cone of Chaimu and its associated lava flows form a striking and dramatic setting in contrast to the peneplains. Monikered as the devils crater, Chaimu rises abruptly from the metaphorical red ground and scrubland of Tsavo West National Park offering an especial viewpoint. It’s an easy hike to the crest with lovely views.
